Noura Dabdoub is Palestinian – born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio to a family from El Birweh, Palestine. She moved to Columbus to study Political Science and attended law school at OSU.
During her time at OSU, she was a student activist for Palestine and led the undergraduate Committee for Justice in Palestine. She later taught a class on Jerusalem at OSU, worked as an attorney for a few years, then decided to stop practicing law to focus on family and caring for her four young children.
Noura currently spends much of her free time on grassroots organizing efforts for Palestine. She is a board member and the Programming Chairperson for a newly-established local non-profit called Baladna: Palestine Society of Columbus, where she has focused on youth initiatives, cultural and social programs, educational lectures and outreach efforts. She is also very interested in exploring the issue of how to engage the community in meaningful action that has an impact on US policy in Palestine.
